Brief characteristics
The APS 400 identification system is suitable for medium and wide range applications and other ones demanding a flexible controlling or hardware-based integration of third-party systems, etc. The system’s modular hardware concept ensures universal usage independent of ID technologies used. A unique feature of APS 400 system allows the user to program the behavior of all system modules and functional links among them. Program execution and user authorization are handled by system controller. Thanks to this feature it is possible to create practically every application without online running PC.
The APS 400 system Software comprises a number of mutually interlinked tools for all usual levels of administration, processing and presentation of operating data. Particular software modules are designed for reliable operation and comfortable use.

System topology
The core of the APS 400 system is programmable controller equipped with the APS BUS interface for downstream communication with networked components and Ethernet interface for upstream communication with the host PC. The controller comprises memory for a user program and all needed system operational data, incl. event archive; so online connection to a server is not necessary for system operation. The storage capacity of event archive and card ID is configurable.
System controller of the APS 400 system is designed for control of up to 64 slave network modules with a functionally unified architecture and 8 system power suppliers. The network modules can be added subsequently according to the demands of the application. If there is the maximum number of network modules reached, other controllers can be added.
There can be realized both, simple applications with a single controller in online mode, as well as large scaled multi-controllers installations with centralized management via TCP/IP networks.

Controller program and software
The APS 400 system software comprises a number of mutually interlinked tools for all usual levels of administration, processing and presentation of operating data. The solution Client / Server architecture and contemporary Microsoft® .NET technology form a solid basis for reliable operation and comfortable use of the software. All server parts of SW solutions are operating as system services, client applications are designed with a maximum accent to transparency and intuitive control. Some extensions are available both, Windows, or Web applications.
For programming the APS 400 system a development environment APS Config is available free of charge. The APS Administrator program package contains the most frequently used tool for the administration of middle range and large scaled systems. Wide choice of extensions focuses on special fields of applications (schools, pensions, hotels, production plants a other specific applications). APS Administrator can manage also mixed APS 400 and APS mini Plus systems.
