APS mini
APS mini is a simple access control system for up to 748 users. The system modules perform their functions independently with no need of a link with other modules or a superior computer. Programming access rights may be performed with the help of special programming cards or via simple free of charge software. APS mini access control system enables building up many applications for family and apartment houses, small companies and commercial premises. The system is suitable when there is no need for event history.

System connnection
The system connection depends on the requirements for its functionality:
- In the standalone operating mode there is no need to connect the reader modules on a BUS. The standalone mode is appropriate wherever often update of access rights or access rights management by a PC is not required. The access rights distribution is performed with a couple of master cards. In effect the mode is usable only for a small number of users (family houses, small companies, remote workplaces, etc.).
- In the offline operating mode the modules are connected to a RS 485 BUS, but the communication is in progress only when configuring the parameters and uploading access rights. This mode is a typical solution for apartment houses with up to 748 users, where no need of events history is required.
- In the online operating mode the communcation with the modules is running permanently. The online connection allows e.g. remote door opening from a PC.
Hardware
The APS mini system modules perform their functions independently with no need of a link with other modules or a superior computer. The parameters of the modules can ve set by a simple configuration program from a PC. The modules can work either in a standalone mode, or as a part of a small centralized system connected through a RS 485 BUS.

Software
For the simple setting of the APS mini system module paramters you can use APS Reader, for access rights management it is more appropriate to use the APS Home. The access rights can be also managed with the APS Administrator, which allows integration with other TF systems (APS mini Plus and APS 400).
