APS mini Plus
Brief characteristics
APS mini Plus is a simple access control system for up to 748 users. The system modules perform their functions independently with no need of a link with other modules or a superior computer. When connected to a PC the access rights can be managed with a simple administration program and the operating events can be read.

System connection
The system connection depends on the requirements for its functionality:
- The standalone operating mode is meaningless, all the standalone functionality is supported in APS mini system, which is cheaper.
- In the offline operating mode the modules are connected to a RS 485 BUS, but the communication is in progress only when configuring the parameters and uploading access rights. This mode is a typical solution for apartment houses with up to 748 users, where no need of events history is required. The operating events are standardly saved in the memory of the module, when the capacity is depleted the oldest events are replaced by the newest ones. After the program is connected, the events are read from the reader and saved to a data storage at the connected PC.
- In the online operating mode the communcation with the modules is running permanently. The operating events are read immediately and thus the time & attendance applications and other SW extensions usage is possible. The solution is appropriate especially for smaller companies, which intend to monitor the movement of personnel in buildings and evaluate their attendance. It is necessary to reserve a computer for the operation, which however does not have to be any powerful. The online connection also allows remote door opening from a PC.
Hardware
The APS mini Plus system modules perform their functions independently with no need of a link with other modules or a superior computer. The parameters of the modules can ve set by a simple configuration program from a PC. The modules can work either in a standalone mode, or as a part of a small centralized system connected through a RS 485 BUS. Connection to a PC can be realized by a communication converter RS485 - Ethernet (TCP/IP protocol) or RS485 - RS232. The maximum number of addresses per communication line is 32 , number of communication lines is not limited.

Software
For the simple setting of the APS mini Plus system module paramters you can use the APS Reader program, for access rights management it is more appropriate to use the APS Home. The access rights can be also managed with the APS Administrator, which allows integration with other TF systems (APS mini Plus and APS 400).
