Licenses
The license policy for individual APS systems differs. Licenses generally enable using programs or program extensions with the devices equipped with proper licenses or extend the device functionality.
The licenses determined for the APS 400 system controller are applied only to the particular APS 400 system controller and APS 400 reader modules connected to this controller.
The licenses determined for the APS 400 network reader modules are applied only to the particular APS 400 network reader module.
The licenses determined for the APS mini / APS mini Plus reader modules are applied only to the particular reader module.
The licenses determined for the server are applied to the entire solution managed within a single communication server installation.
APS 400
The ACS license sets the ID capacity of the APS 400 system controller; the ACS.Online license enables to use online authorization of the users performed by the communication server with the particular system controller. The Time & Attendance applications require TA license in the same ID configuration as the ACS license.

The APS 400 network reader modules with integrated 125 kHz reader are able to read EM Marin and HID Proximity ID media. If the module does not contain the MLC license, the EM Marin technology ID media reading is limited to read only the TECHFASS factory ID Media.

APS mini and APS mini Plus
In the APS mini and APS mini Plus system the IDs count is not limited by any license, but by the modules' capacity (748 IDs). The licenses in these systems are bound to the specific reader module.
The APS mini and APS mini Plus reader modules differ rightly in the presence of the MLE license. Its presence in the APS mini Plus system enables reading operating events of the system.
Every module intended to be used in the Time & Attendance applications must contain the MLA license.
The reader modules with integrated 125 kHz reader are able to read EM Marin and HID Proximity ID media. If the module does not contain the MLC license, the EM Marin technology ID media reading is limited to read only the TECHFASS factory ID Media.

Licenses for the server
Following licenses are common to all of the APS systems and are required for using relevant SW extensions. The license is valid for all systems managed by a single server. In the APS 400 the license can be stored in the system controller, in the APS mini and APS mini Plus systems it can be stored in any of the reader modules.
